NFL in NSB – Check Out Merk’s

Looking for a great place to go to catch a Sunday NFL game? Look no further! Merk’s has TVs galore and no doubt one of them will be broadcasting your game. If not…ask one of the very friendly wait staff!

There are places in NSB to catch specific teams,where their regulars always meet for a game, but Merk’s is a great place to catch all of the action. Some tables along the sides of the dining area have their very own TV, and there’s a room in the back if you want to gather a big group together. In total, there are 24 TVs, ,and the bartenders do a nice job accommodating everyone.

Merk’s is a locals’ favorite, and they are notorious for their chicken wings.  We tried the garlic Parmesan wings which were meaty, juicy and smothered with sauce, including a copious serving of Parmesan …..mmmmm! The pretzel sticks and beer cheese dip was fantastic as well, not to mention the good drink specials!  If you are a fan of draft/craft beers, they offer 20 different beers on tap and about 75 different beers in total.

It’s a fun atmosphere on an NFL Sunday afternoon, as roars and groans drift across the bar nearly constantly as the different games ebb and flow. It was our first trip, and  we found the bartenders and staff to be super-friendly.  And since it’s considered “the locals choice”, it must be a great atmosphere any day of the week.

You’ll be sure to find us there again on a Sunday to catch the Steelers play. ??
