Sunset Brews Cruise Features the Best of NSB

When you pair an awesome local Eco Tour with the area’s premiere brewery, you are destined for a memorable evening. Natural beauty, tasty food and drink, and good company are the perfect recipe for a memorable evening, and yesterday’s Sunset Brews Cruise with Turtle Mound River Tours was the ideal way to cap off a glorious Saturday.

The two-hour journey was a celebration of some of NSB’s greatest features. We toured the pristine backwaters of the Indian River, watched dolphins frolic nearby, learned a bit of NSB history and enjoyed excellent local food and brews. Enjoying a beautiful Spring evening was just icing on the cake.

The cruise featured fantastic samples from New Smyrna Beach Brewing Company. Taproom Technician Jeff poured out four rounds of tastings, each paired with tasty light nosh. The first sample was their smooth pilsner, served alongside delicious soft pretzels and dip from The Baker’s Table.

Each beer tasting was served in a nice commemorative Turtle Mound River Tours steel mug. The other beers featured included New Smyrna Beach Brewing’s signature Shark Attack IPA, their new Irish Stout and Feeding Frenzy Irish Red Ale.  Jeff was friendly and knowledgeable and happy to share information on each of the brews.  

The event sold out, and all 24 people on board were nice people who were a blast to chat with. Captain Bill and First Mate Caroline were fun hosts who made everyone comfortable. They know the area incredibly well, are supremely friendly and excellent guides.

Bottom Line

The folks at Turtle Mound River Tours run a first-class business and we would recommend any of their events, but this Sunset Brews Cruise just might be their best.
