Wake Up! Cafe
We don’t get out to breakfast much, and when we do, we are usually diehard C’s Waffles and Bagel World fans. They’re close, they’re reliable and their food is good. This time we decided to listen to a few recent recommendations and give Wake Up Café a try.
Not only did we leave with fully satiated taste buds, but we also had a jitter pulsing through our veins. The servers are so attentive to their coffee distribution (which is pretty darn good by the way), that at one point I wanted to put up the sign that said “run Forrest run” or was it “stop Forrest stop?”
Either way, coffee fans will definitely be awake when they leave (hence the name possibly?).
The restaurant is clean, the servers and staff are friendly, and the service is quick.
I thoroughly enjoyed the decadent Wake Up Waff-Wich. The meal featured two sunny-side up eggs and sausage patties sprinkled with cheddar cheese, all served between delicious Belgian waffles. It was as wonderful as it sounds, and was a huge serving.
My friend went old school and ordered a generous portion of eggs, bacon, toast and grits. She was quite pleased, as well.
Our server advised us that all of the “Benedicts” and homemade fried potatoes were popular. The menu is packed with numerous specialty meals that it’s hard to choose. We’ll just need to return soon and sample some of the other options.
Bottom Line: Go tired and hungry, and you’ll no doubt be ringing the bell when you leave too!
